D'après une firme spécialisée en marketing viral, la vidéo du jeune Québécois simulant un combat au sabre laser serait la plus populaire de toute l'histoire d'Internet.
En novembre 2002, un adolescent de 15 ans se filme en train de simuler un combat au sabre laser inspiré des films de «La guerre des étoiles». Quelques mois plus tard, des copains d'école numérisent l'extrait vidéo afin de le diffuser sur Internet. Ainsi commençait la saga «Star Wars Kid»
Selon les données compilées par la firme The Viral Factory, la prestation de «Star Wars Kid» aurait été vue environ 900 millions de fois, ce qui en fait le numéro un du palmarès des vidéos les plus populaires d'Internet.
Au second rang de ce classement, on retrouve une séquence qui a fait sensation à partir de l'automne 2004, celle d'un jeune homme alors âgé de 19 ans qui s'est filmé sur sa webcam alors faisait du lipsync et qu'il se dandinait au son de la musique d'un groupe roumain: la célèbre Numa Numa Dance...

A Fly In The Champagne, the latest surfing dvd from Irons Brothers Productions, gives us what we want - the best surfers (Kelly Slater and Andy Irons) in the best waves (Kandui Resort in the Mentawai Islands). Beyond the ripping, the movie also documents the fierce competitive rivalry between Slater (9X ASP World Champion) and Irons (3X ASP World Champion) that has brewed for the past decade.
Even the two biggest surf companies (Quiksilver and Billabong) teamed up to help put together this movie.
