Mon bon chummy Nick m'a surpris ce matin avec un set de balls in a box en me demandant si les souliers étaient en vente sur la boutique en ligne... Lucky, les boys étaient en plein photoshoot pour la ligne RVCA femme et homme summer 2009. J'ai donc maintenant des photos et je les vend online. New SkatePark In Beloeil
Simplement pour vous informer qu'après 2 ans de tergiversations politiques multiples et de multiples reports, le projet du nouveau skateparc de Beloeil fut finalement accepté à la majorité hier(lundi) lors du conseil de ville de Beloeil. Il s'agit d'un investissement de tout près de 200 000$ dont les travaux débuteront dans les prochaines semaines. Spinworks avec Dan Vez( Taz, South Parc) à sa tête réaliseront les travaux assistés de la firme Génivar. Il sera situé sur le terrain avant de la polyvalente de Beloeil. TEXT: Yanic Parent

My long time friends at Paper magazine asked me to submit a design
for their feature on re-branding America. I agree that America needs
to spruce up its image, so I chose a green energy theme. I was very
flattered that the agency Crispin Porter & Bugosky included my HOPE
graphic in their design. There is an article on the project on NYTimes.com

You'll find few people with more genuine love for skating than
Jim Barnum. Of course you'll also find few people willing to admit
to seeing the movie Marley and Me, let alone saying it caused them
to question their accomplishments in life... but that's what makes
Barnum so damn cool: he's the real deal, through and through, and
is sincere to a fault when anything up for discussion connects back to
skateboarding.

BIG BROTHER COVERS
Over in my 9-to-5 land at Dickhouse, we started work on a video-ized
history of Big Brother skateboard magazine.
The whole "documentary" term is getting way too loose and abused
these days, so at this time I'd rather not label it as such?especially
because the project isn't on a formal deadline and we're just
collecting snippets of interviews whenever available pockets of time
allow. In the meantime, we've been carving out little featurettes on
the magazine, like this look back on some of the more interesting
images to grace the cover of Big Brother.

Foldable Skate Deck Concept
If you have ever ollied down a big flight of steps and had the skateboard
snap when you land, you?ll know it?s pretty spectacular. You?ll also know
that it?s going to take a while before you try such a big trick again.
And this is our concern about the Foldable Skate Deck Concept, from
New York designer Jin-Seok Hwang. It?s cool looking, sure, and way
more portable than a regular board, but that hinge in the center is a
snap waiting to happen. We?d file this one under ?dilettante?, and
?poseur?? it?s certainly not going to be useful for the hardcore daily
skater? you need to have confidence that your setup is going to stay
together or you?re not going to try anything harder than a kickturn.
Also, what is it made of? That doesn?t look like plywood. Avoid.
