Why not to convert those skips that every now and then appear at our

transform skips into places for fun and integration.

Burton CO2
The Aeron chair was the most famous office seat of all time, but we never expected it to show up in a Burton CO2 snowboard binding. Craziness? No, just look at the picture.
The binding borrows the chair's breathable webbing and strong Y support core, creating a lightweight and flexible structure that will run interested snowboarders approx $390. It's incredibly interesting to see the unique design principles of one product make their way into another product, even if it's obvious (in retrospect) that such ideas would easily scale for universal application.

1986, Animal Chin was released

What cheesy lines are you talking about? We were serious about our
acting roles!? barks Bones Brigade skateboarder Steve Caballero.
?I never thought that anyone saw it as anything short of fantastic acting,?
muses former teammate Lance Mountain. Neither is serious.
The Search for Animal Chin. The name itself sounds like a porno.
The fact that it starred a group called the Bones Brigade didn?t help.
Its director, Stacy Peralta, readily admits,
?The filmmaking is lower than a B-Movie.?

GIGI all over Volcom!

Volcom is proud to announce that Gigi Rüf will be rocking Volcom
outerwear and riding Volcom snowboards for the 2008/2009 season
and beyond.
Gigi has been a part of the Volcom family for more than 15 years.
The young Austrian made his first trip to Volcom when he was just
12 years old. At that time Volcom Art Director,Ethan Anderson sent
Gigi home with a hand made Volcom card. In the card EA wrote
Christian aka Gigi- Thank you for coming to America and hanging out.
You rule. You are the future keep it up. Ethan.
The future is now.
Gigi with his skyscraper from the movie "Overseas"
Gigi is on top of the snowboarding world. At the end of this past season
he ranked in the top 10 of Transworld Business Exposure Meter and
was also in the top 10 in Snowboarders Rider of the Year issue. To see
Gigi in motion check any one of his multiple video parts including the
opener of Absinthes latest release Ready and Pirate Movie Productions
Overseas. The loop jib is a must see.
There have been few riders over the years whose riding style, technical
ability, fluidity and creativity come together as perfection. Gigi is one
of those few, watching him ride is always exciting and inspiring as he
opens up new lines with an uncanny mountain sense. It must be instinct,
considering his roots run deep in the heart of the Alps.
"Gigi has a timeless style, creative mind, and unbelievable personality.
We are really excited to see what the future holds." Billy Anderson,
Volcom Snow Brand Manager
"Gigi has been a part of the Volcom family since the beginning and
I'm really stoked to see him now 100% Volcom Snowboarding.
This is a major plus for the company and very motivating as we plan
for the future. Yea Gigi!" Richard Woolcott, Volcom CEO

Porn's Nikki Jayne of PIF

Skateboarders Take Porn Star For A Ride
LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) ? Riding a hot girl has never
been easier for skater dudes.
Porn giant Vivid Entertainment has just paired with skateboard manufacturer
Control MFG to produce a line of limited edition skateboards featuring
naughty images of their sexiest adult stars.
Porn princess Nikki Jayne is one of the girls that?ll get mileage on the skate
decks and she?s happy to jump on board.
She says, ?It?s a cool project. Skaters get to have hot pictures of hot chicks
on their boards instead of stupid swirls or other designs.?
Though it may be a bit hard for skateboarders to focus on riding with a
sexy girl on their equipment, Jayne says their skating ability won?t be
changed by the porn boards.
She says, ?If they?re good, they?re good.?
Jayne has never skateboarded herself, but wouldn?t mind trying it out
since she?s already a fan of rollerblading.
However, her ultimate dream is to be a ?surfer chick.?

SMF QC

The second stop of the Coors Light SMF grand prix took place in the
parking lot of Ozone in St-Foy during the long thanksgiving weekend.
This SMF seemed a little harder for everyone. The competitors took a lot
of time to get their tricks down and get the feel back. But once the actual
contest started, they hit the "On" button and they rode like the pros that
they are. Jason Dubois, Gab Mercier, JP Poirier, Fred Lacroix and the rest
of the lineup delivered amazing performances one after the other.
Pulling trick after trick that even earned a nice check for some.
This stop of the SMF tour was won by Quebec local Jason Dubois who
won it 2-1 against his fellow QC rider Gab Mercier. The competition was
followed by the Quebec premiere of the new Rome movie "No correct way"
that stars a lot of our local boys. The fun didn?t stop there, because Ozone
bar had a little something special for everyone on that night.
They had Jello wrestling that wowed the crowd and left everyone really sticky.

GvR skateboarding contest
The fifth annual etnies GvR skateboarding contest was held October 2-5,
2008 at the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest. For those of you who didn't
know, the series was tied up before the contest started. If you don?t know
what GvR is all about, then let me give you the quick break down: This is
the 5th Annual. Who knows if it will continue from here, but the bottom
line is that Regular has won twice and Goofy has won twice. That means
this could be the eternal tie-breaker on which stance is truly dominant.
Funny to think about, right? Does anyone really care? I?ll tell you what?
a lot of people that are hanging around Sole Technology
(parent company of eS, etnies, and Emerica) care, and overall, it?s really
an entertaining concept. These are results and photos of the street portion
of the contest only.

1st - Chris Cole - $16,000 ? at the risk of kissing way too much Chris
Cole ass, I?m saying that he is currently the best skateboarder alive. If he
puts his mind to it, I don?t think that there is anything he can?t do. That?s
why he was the Regular MVP, too
2nd - Andrew Langi - $10,000 ? what is this kid going to do with
10 G?s? I don?t know what to say and I?ve said this before I guess,
but Langi is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the very near future.
He?s skating on a pro level
3rd - Julian Christianson - $6,000 ? who are you? Where did you
come from? With the exception of the bs 180 bennihana, this kid had
quite a bag of tricks. Someone will be picking him up shortly...

Randall dropped second
This summer in Argentina, Rome Regional Rider
Randall Stacy was rescued after being buried by an
avalanche.
Randall, a 16-year old student at Stratton Mt School,
was riding Cerro Catedral with his coach, Ian Kirk and
Colorado avalanche guide Alex Hunt. After hiking a peak
in-bounds and testing snow conditions, Alex skied the
face and posted up in the flats. Randall dropped second
and was quickly caught in the center of a large slide.
A standing ledge of snow prevented him from riding out
of the slide and he was carried roughly 1/4 mile into
the flats and buried three feet under the snow.
All three riders were equipped with avalanche beacons,
shovels and probes. Alex Hunt was able to locate and
probe Randall within 5 minutes and he was dug out in
under 8 minutes.
Randall suffered a fractured patella and fibula, along
with a significant contusion to his hip. His amazing
fortune was recognized by all involved, and the kid is
now a legend in Bariloche. This video stands as a
reminder that even after testing snow conditions and
seeing someone ride the line before you, the snow can
still be unstable.

China Banks and more

This place has been a famous skate spot for the last 20+ years. Its a pretty
steep transition but a lot of fun. There has been a lot of blood shed at this
skateboard spot. The bricks are gnarley and unforgiving and you have to
always constantly watch out for those damn benches. The funny thing is t
he benches have skate stoppers on them but that is not what you go skate
at China Banks.

Raising tha Bar!

The park is officially over!' I mean if fences were up and cops were actively kicking people out, it was in fact a done deal. So we instantly started to plan a scheme for getting the park bar.
Of course the normal idea would be to wait until cover of night and bring an electric 'saws-all'...
But then we remembered all the random people who we heard were going to steal the famous park bar... Rumors abounded that Geoff Rowley wanted it, the the Element team was going to steal it, etc... It became the Holy Grail of Huntington Beach. The Grail-!!!!!!! Griffin belted out, 'Lets do it right now~!!!!" And I was like, 'Fuck yes!' But wouldn't the saws-all make a lot of noise? I mean it's only 6pm, it's totally light out.
Lets do it like men, by hand, with frickin' hacksaws...
