Duck Down Record's and their various artists were hired by ESPN to create five original tracks for ESPN's coverage of Men's College Basketball. Buckshot, of Black Moon, Heltah Skeltah (Sean Price and Rock), Smif N Wessun, and Tek, of Smif N Wessun all recorded original music for ESPN's College Basketball programming.

The music will be featured throughout the complete season of men's college basketball, which kicked off this week.

The one and only tape!

A selected few were lucky to witness Fully Flared's second world premiere. PO actually held the one and only tape, under Ty Evan's consent and Cairo Foster as guest photographer. Next time we'll see it is December 9th in Montreal. An I must assure you, no one will be disappointed. Well worth the wait. We also met up with Baller himself, rumor has it he's convinced his west coast ladyfriend to move back to MTL with him!

Sorry about the blurry photos, 550$ (afternoon) bar tab at Earl's can do that to some people.

Le 1er vernissage du concept d'éditorial de mode urbaine ModPop aura
lieu à la gallerie de la boutique Off The Hook jeudi le 8 novembre
sous forme de 7 à 9. À l'honneur: des vêtements de marques urbaines
portés par des personnalités locales des scènes musicales, artistiques
et sportives. Un making of vidéo produit par VoxPop Montréal sera
projeté sous forme de topo lors de l'événement. Voici les têtes
d'affiche pour la saison automne / hiver 2007-08:

South-Parc for the ten years anniversary of the Element EAST 10 finals:
East coast Annual Skateboard Tour in association with Etnies and
Dragon.

The best AM from Québec, east coast Canada and USA (in association
with the Jam Series) will be there to kick some ass. Nicolas Côté will
be hosting the show and the contest is judged by Éric Blais
(World Cup Skateboarding judge) helped by the " Héros du Plateau "
Étienne Tanguay and Alexis Brault from Island Productions.

The contest will be cover by SBC, Exposé magazine and Tribal Show
(french TSN).

It take us 10 years and over 350 events to get there ! Thank you to all
of those how support us through these years. You know who you are.

Regional Report: Quebec, Canada

From a cultural perspective, Quebec is profoundly distinct from the rest of Canada. There are many reasons the French language being the most obvious. Without drowning you in information, allow me to sum it up by saying that going to Quebec is like stepping into another country, even though it's all actually part of Canada. Got it?

From a snowboarding perspective, Quebec is also different. It has played both a key role in developing snowboarding in Canada (early snowboard pioneer Louis Fornier is credited along with Jeff Grell in developing the collapsible highback), and in producing some of our biggest pro snowboarders, from Marc Morriset and Martin Gallant, to JF Pelchat and Emanuel Krebs, to DCP and Etienne Gilbert. And that's not even touching the most recent wave of talent. If you haven't yet heard of Yan Dofin, Matt Dano, Max Legend, or Reno B, you can bet your ass you will soon...

are pleased to announce the addition of John Jackson to the two
respective teams.

According to Bryan Knox, Forum and Special Blend?s Team Director,
?Its not like any justification is needed as to why we?re excited about
John Jackson, but for the sake of a press release, well, please read the
next paragraph.?

John Jackson has brown hair and blue eyes. He is single (yeah, ladies)
and enjoys fishing, tying flies, and bake sales. Additionally, he is an
insanely talented, dedicated snowboarder who understands what it
means to have the word Forum underneath his feet and Special Blend
across his chest.

For outerwear and accompanying softgoods, Jackson joins the existing
Special Blend team of Joni Malmi, Travis Kennedy, Stevie Bell, as well
as recently appointed team riders Nic Sauve and Daniel Ek.

On the Forum front, according to Knox, the addition of Jackson ?really
rounds shit out, ? as he becomes a part of the renowned Forum team:
Peter Line, Joni Malmi, Eddie Wall, Travis Kennedy, Pat Moore, Jake
Blauvelt, Stevie Bell, Jake Welch, as well as the recent additions of
up-and-comers Nic Sauve and Daniel Ek.

Work has begun on a John Jackson 158cm pro-upgrade Forum board
that will be shown during the upcoming SIA and ISPO shows. Until
then, Jackson will be strapping into a Seeker Board and Arena Bindings,
as filming for a Forum video gets underway.

According to Jackson, ?To be part of something like this, that is so
together and established, is like a dream come true. You know, you?re
either Forum or Against?em?
