Who is Mr.Magic?
Nas-Half-time
I got to have it, I miss Mr. Magic
Versatile, my style switches like a faggot
But not a bisexual, I'm an intellectual
Of rap...
Notorious BIG - Juicy
up in the limousine Hangin' pictures on my wall Every Saturday Rap Attack, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl I let my tape rock 'til my tape...

An important figure in the world of hip-hop radio, Mr. Magic debuted in 1983 on WBLS-FM in New York City with the first exclusive rap radio show to be aired on a major station. Billing itself as Rap Attack, Magic's show featured Marley Marl as the DJ and Tyrone "Fly Ty" Williams as the show's co-producer. Magic's reign on the New york City airwaves lasted six years and was instrumental in broadening the scope and validity of hip-hop music. Magic also spent time as a producer, working on the Force MD's "Let Me Love You" and "Forgive Me Girl," as well as releasing a series of compilation albums from his radio show titled Mr. Magic's Rap Attack. Nearly 20 years after his radio debut, Mr. Magic made the transition to the digital realm and helmed Wildstyle, the rap channel for the new millennium's hottest video game, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. His early contributions to hip hop, both as a producer and performer, were documented by the Stones Throw label in 1994 on the collection Third Unheard: Connecticut Hip Hop 1979-1983.

Percee P & Lord Finesse
Serious, serious classic battle featuring Percee P vs. Lord Finesse
PerceeP
By 1979 Percee was writing and performing his own rhymes and by high school was a respected local force. Because for many years he was never officially with any one label, Percee had to make his name known by hawking his own mixtapes outside Fat Beats Records in Brooklyn as well as at various shows, eventually compiling many of his songs together under the title Legendary Status (released in 2005). In 2003 Percee signed to California-based Stones Throw, which released his long-awaited solo debut, Perseverance, in September 2007.
Lord Finesse
Lord Finesse broke into the rap game as yet another hardcore rapper. After gaining a following in his native New York, Finesse cut Funky Technician, an excellent debut for Wild Pitch Records. He then signed a management deal with Ice-T's Rhyme Syndicate Management and recorded his 1991 major-label debut, Return of the Funky Man, for Giant. When his rapping career didn't explode, Finesse began producing and has since become a competent studio player, producing albums by Notorious B.I.G. and Noreaga.

The Infinite Science
Wrapped up in a dope package, Scifen is trying to spread a message by combining social awareness with tongue-in-cheek humor. Some people have attacked them, claiming it?s all a marketing ploy to sell clothes. Hey, you gotta do something to make a living, and at least this has a backbone. As Chace Infinite (founder of the uber-cool streetwear Unity Mansion Show in Vegas) says, ?You want to be able to marry commerce with art at some point and Scifen does a good job of it.? Best of all, Barmak maintains a sense of humor and doesn?t take himself or any of this streetwear shit too seriously. It?s a refreshing approach.

Dustin Craven Interview
When it comes to immoral support Capita pro Dustin Craven has snowboarding covered. This past winter he didn?t win any contests but he won the hearts of riders everywhere by not giving a sh*t and sticking with more style than anyone else. Actually he won the Empire Shakedown. So we lied. Big deal.
