La dernière semaine de septembre, un collectif montréalais talenteux a crée une exposition artistique nommé Laparia. Le nom du s'inspire de l'exclusion sociale vécue par le mouvement underground, or les skateboarders et ses artisans connaissent très bien cette réalité, mais ne s'agenouent jamais devant l'autorité. Lakai s'est associé à ce mouvement afin d'éclairer laparia qui nécessite et mérite se brin de luminosité. Des souliers ont été fournies à différents artistes pour peindre et certains ont passé directement au skate, sans la peinture. A chacun son inspiration...

L'exposition à été télévisé via la station communautaire et vous en verrai surement des extraits dans de futurs éditions de magazines à l'affut. www.exposemag.ca

Hey Everyone,

Mr. Lif, Other Def Jux Artists Survive Near Fatal Tour Bus Crash

A bus carrying Definitive Jux's Mr. Lif, The Coup, DJ Big Wiz and others crashed early Monday morning (December 4) approximately 40 miles outside San Diego, California. According to the label, the tour bus flipped over during the collision, bursting into flames. Fortunately, everyone onboard the bus managed the escape, most with minor injuries, but four individuals -- including DJ Big Wiz, Zarha (Mr. Lif's assistant) and Silk-E (The Coup) -- are currently being hospitalized for more serious injuries. "The tour bus ran off the road for a 30 foot drop," said Mr. Lif. "Everyone is alive, but four need extensive hospitalization and surgery. We appreciate all concern and would like to thank everyone who was planning to attend our shows."
